Once smart little girl

Hmmh... I haven't written a "story" in a while, let's try this.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl. She was smart and very observant. This little girl saw the world for what it was, a huge place of endless possibilities. But because she was also very stubborn, it was hard for her to learn. Her mind was fixated on the things she knew and thought she understood. She was alright with this setup. She focused on "reeling in" her peers to her "adult thinking"; to what she understands about life. She philosophized about life, beliefs, and humanity. At such a young age, she was smart but still very naive. And because she thought ahead of her age her ego and cockiness would take over, and along with immaturity she finally succeeded. She achieved a narrow mind. As the years passed and she was no longer as little, her friends were starting to understand her. Opposite to her, their minds were opening to the world, while hers was closing. And the time went on. She was questioned time and time again, challenged. What was easy to answer at first became frustrating for her. She wasn't a little girl anymore, and the peers that she once had, surpassed her perceptions. She struggled hard to understand what was happening. They did not listen to her anymore. The things she says were unreasonable, even to herself. Nothing made sense anymore.
